As You Wish...
Note: Prior to signing the work agreement, the customer should read the following business policy and ask any questions s/he may have regarding policies and procedures.
Clients are scheduled by appointment only. Consultations and measurements will be performed before the sewing work begins. The client may either come to my studio, or the appointment will be held at a mutually convenient location, if preferred. If the project is a garment, the client must wear appropriate undergarments for the fitting, similar or the same as those s/he will wear with the finished garment.
Depending on the amount of detail, some projects/garments will take several weeks or months to complete. Depending on the project/garment, several fittings may be required, and will be scheduled prior to the due date. The completion date will be mutually agreed, and all deadlines will be met. It is the client's obligation to be available for fittings. There will be additional fees for rush jobs or completion date changes.
Shortly after the initial measurements are taken, and the project has been agreed upon, the customer is asked to pay 1/2 of the agreed total labor price (or half of labor plus full amount for materials, if materials are purchased by As You Wish). The balance is due when the completed project is received by the client on or before the promised delivery date. Accepted forms of payment are money order, bank check, Paypal or cash.
Measurements must be taken before beginning any project. The client may provide his/her own measurements, however, the dressmaker is not responsible for inaccurate measurements provided by client, nor the client's significant weight gain or loss affecting the fit of the garment.
All fabric choices will be discussed prior to project start, and are subject to the client's approval.
The client may provide fabric, notions and pattern - however, they must be suitable for the project. Any problems with items provided by the client will be discussed prior to beginning the project.
