- Worked for the Giorgio Armani Boutique on Madison Avenue in NYC, where she was able to get up close and personal with beautifully made garments, and spent a lot of time peering over experienced tailors' shoulders!
- Received BA from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo, where she assisted in draping, designing, and building costumes for many of Edison Theater's mainstage productions.
- Continued education at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where she learned a great deal about draping, fitting, construction, fabrics, and history.
- Worked for Butterick/Vogue Pattern Company, analyzing pattern accuracy for customers.
